Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on local routes throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured and handled with care.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients at delivery sites.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and early mornings.
- Strong knowledge of local Chicago roads and traffic patterns.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US driver's license.
