Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated customer locations in the Nashville metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling, ensuring proper securing of freight.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain customer signatures for all completed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs (DVIR).
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any delivery issues professionally on-site.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Medical Card: Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Documentation: Valid state-issued ID, Social Security Card, and clean background check.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations; proficiency with handheld delivery scanners.
