Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods across Charlotte metropolitan area
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries during peak night hours
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and address delivery concerns
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges in real-time
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean MVR record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and navigate multi-level buildings
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte street networks and surrounding areas
- Availability to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps and communication
- Pass background check and drug screening
