Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport goods across designated routes during night shifts
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and compliance documentation
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency while adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams and recipients regarding delivery status
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism at all delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore metropolitan area geography and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work 10-12 hour night shifts (typically 8 PM - 8 AM)
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging and communication tools
