Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods across Oakland and surrounding areas during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Optimize routes for efficiency while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling and safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route changes or delays
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of Oakland/Bay Area roadways and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic navigation technology proficiency (GPS, route planning apps)
