Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner during night hours.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate delivery routes in the Tampa area and surrounding regions efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record and acceptable MVR.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong knowledge of DOT safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and handle cargo for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and electronic logging.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
