Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation with HIPAA-compliant protocols
- Verify recipient information and handle specimens with extreme care to prevent contamination
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and traffic regulations while maintaining vehicle safety
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with healthcare facilities and dispatch teams
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics experience preferred
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and mobile tracking applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise medical handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
