Responsibilities
- Safely and timely deliver packages, food, and goods to designated locations throughout Raleigh and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions and resolve delivery issues professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company delivery procedures
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and maintain organized cargo space
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and delays
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles (van or box truck) safely and responsibly
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot
