Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across assigned routes in the Cleveland area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight while maintaining cargo integrity and security.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and status updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (must be insurable).
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills for safety documentation.
- Willingness to undergo a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
