Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial trucks for local/regional routes
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team for route updates
- Ensure on-time deliveries while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago area roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
