Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles (flatbed, reefer, or dry van).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Load and secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps to ensure safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (Must be obtained or obtained during training).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills for cargo documentation.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
