Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods throughout NYC boroughs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues efficiently
- Ensure all packages are handled securely and delivered in pristine condition
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route optimization tools
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
