Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) on multi-state routes
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations and DOT guidelines
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery timelines and resolve route disruptions proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Hazmat regulations (preferred but not required)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
