Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to deliver freight safely and on time to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety standards and regulations are met.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping tools to plan optimal routes and avoid delays.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure high levels of service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
