Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS protocols, and company safety standards
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency while meeting tight deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and securement procedures
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Complete electronic logging (ELD) and delivery documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
- Spanish language skills a plus for diverse customer interactions
