Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within the Chicago metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize route efficiency to meet tight delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and reliability
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve route disruptions and ensure on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record and minimum 2 years experience
- Proven expertise in navigating complex urban environments and regional highways
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
