Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage student boarding, seating, and conduct with positive reinforcement
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and emergency schedules
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports
- Uphold Hawaii DOT and federal transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Fluent in English; Hawaiian language skills a plus
- Knowledge of Honolulu geography and traffic patterns
