Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip bus inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage bus behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Assist students with mobility needs and special requirements
- Complete daily incident and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check, drug screen, and physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
