Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan optimal delivery routes to ensure on-time performance
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and delays
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Complete necessary paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with St. Louis metro area and surrounding regions
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement techniques
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
