Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and onboard safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district routing schedules
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily trip reports and maintenance documentation
- Provide first aid assistance during emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C CDL with P/S endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean MVR (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Child safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Fluent in English (bilingual a plus)
- Background clearance through Texas DPS
