Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck cab and trailer at all times.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Complete daily logbooks and delivery documents accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify potential mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred for experienced drivers, open to new grads with training).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and modern trucking software.
- Willingness to travel and work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
