Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport goods safely and efficiently to various destinations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and documentation of all shipments.
- Maintain accurate Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or ability to obtain through our training program).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills for calculating distances and fuel costs.
