Job Overview
As a CDL Driver at Swift Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the United States. We pride ourselves on safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and legally in accordance with all Federal and State regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle condition.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/Logsheets) and complete necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Adhere to strict DOT safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and a commitment to safety.
