Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport goods across various routes within the Columbus, OH area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries as required by law.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Uphold company standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one immediately.
- Clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
