Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) in Miami-Dade County and Southeast US routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs per DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Adhere to strict safety standards and HOS compliance
- Complete required training modules for certification advancement
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class A CDL preferred, but training provided)
- Clean MVR with no DUI/DWI in past 5 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for load documentation
- Willingness to obtain HazMat/Tank endorsements within 6 months
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexible schedule including nights/weekends as needed
