In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transport of materials to and from various construction sites. We are looking for dedicated individuals who take pride in their work and adhere to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate Dump Trucks: Safely transport materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites in Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
- Load and Unload: Ensure materials are loaded securely and unloaded efficiently at designated drop-off points.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and OSHA safety regulations at all times.
- Route Planning: Navigate efficiently to job sites while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and reports as required by DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Current Class B CDL (or Class A with dump truck endorsement) is required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Proven experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions from site supervisors.
