Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, asphalt) to designated sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, loaders, or manual labor, adhering to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and comply with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Keep the truck and surrounding work area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads, climbing in and out of the cab, and working in all weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement procedures.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
