Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, and soil to and from construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials according to safety protocols and weight restrictions.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and ensure compliance with all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route changes and delivery schedules.
- Keep the truck cab and dump bed clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to strict safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as needed.
