Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on various road conditions while adhering to traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including proper communication and handling of merchandise.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the dispatch team immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR) and DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic proficiency with handheld scanning devices and GPS navigation systems.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
