Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated residential and commercial locations in the Baltimore area.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of all packages, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness and mechanical issues, reporting any necessary repairs immediately.
- Handle cash and digital transactions accurately, including managing proof of delivery (POD) and receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure work environment.
- Organize delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize fuel consumption.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected route changes or traffic delays.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones or tablet devices for navigation and logging.
- Reliable transportation to and from the designated depot or home base.
