Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in and around the New Orleans area.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lifting equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues on-site.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience in commercial driving and logistics preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
