Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages to residential and commercial locations in the Boston area.
- Load and unload merchandise using hand trucks or dollies, ensuring proper handling of fragile items.
- Verify delivery addresses and ensure all packages are accounted for and undamaged.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and assisting with package placement when necessary.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and digital paperwork before returning to the depot.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan efficient delivery routes.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone apps and GPS navigation systems.
- Reliable access to a valid vehicle (if gig/contract model applies).
