Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are securely fastened and properly documented.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) entries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the truck clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with the appropriate endorsements required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
