Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for hours of service and cargo manifests
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient delivery scheduling and route optimization
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading when required
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license (current and in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Jacksonville, FL area and surrounding routes
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and transportation regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
