Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient delivery routes while meeting tight deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent Swift Logistics professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend shifts
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
