Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) as assigned
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while meeting delivery deadlines
- Complete accurate pre-trip inspections and post-trip documentation
- Handle secure loading/unloading procedures and freight security
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat materials (H endorsement preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Ohio/Midwest road networks and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability
