Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Implement secure cargo handling protocols to prevent damage or loss
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for hours-of-service compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and ELD systems
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
