Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe, legal, and courteous manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily logs of driving time and distance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery times.
- Represent the company professionally in the community and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to lift and move cargo up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
