Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transportation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques following company protocols
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety-first approach
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility to work weekends and early morning shifts as required
