Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over assigned routes in and around Jacksonville, FL.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Complete all necessary delivery receipts and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel regionally.
- Basic computer skills for log entry and documentation.
