Job Summary
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across the Midwest and into Illinois. You will represent our brand professionally and ensure that all delivery schedules are met with the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete necessary delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and any delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a clean driving record.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience preferred (New grads with Class A license considered).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
