Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) following FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Transport freight to designated locations with on-time delivery performance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and delivery schedules
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo and securement per DOT standards
- Document delivery receipts and maintain electronic logs (ELD compliance)
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Strong knowledge of Georgia roadways and Southeastern US routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Previous hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
