Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes within Albuquerque and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation of deliveries
- Navigate diverse terrain and weather conditions while adhering to strict delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, or customer requirements
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and submit timely paperwork for payroll and compliance
- Represent Swift Transport Solutions professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication skills
- Flexibility for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional weekday availability
- Knowledge of New Mexico roadways and regional delivery requirements
