Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers (Class A or B) within Virginia and North Carolina.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT physical) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of Virginia and North Carolina roadways and logistics hubs.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
