Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-stop deliveries throughout Florida and surrounding states
- Strictly adhere to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Perform minor roadside repairs and coordinate maintenance when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Florida roadways and hazardous materials handling (HME preferred)
- Flexible availability to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Valid TWIC card for port access (if required for specific routes)
