Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles during designated night shifts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required delivery documentation.
- Navigate routes efficiently, accounting for traffic and weather conditions common during night hours.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding schedule changes and delivery status.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving abstract and valid DOT medical card.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
