Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and accurately using loading docks and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and surrounding interstate highways.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
