Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) to transport goods on multi-stop routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspections (DVIR), and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading using pallet jacks
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and resolve delivery exceptions
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adapt to changing schedules and traffic conditions using GPS navigation systems
- Report maintenance issues promptly to fleet management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate pallet jacks
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-paid)
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and bridge/tunnel regulations
- Basic smartphone proficiency for ELD compliance and communication
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends
