Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries, resolving issues professionally.
- Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure safety on the road.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
