Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after every shift to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load & Unload Freight: Secure cargo properly using straps and bars, ensuring it arrives at the destination in perfect condition.
- Driver Qualification Documents (DQD): Maintain all required documentation, including medical cards and CPLs, up to date.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a current and valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A).
- Clean Driving Record: Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in long-haul or local truck driving preferred.
- DOT Medical Card: Must hold a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing in and out of the cab.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts and occasional overtime.
